Goma Stones
When I was 12 years old I lived in the smallĀ African town of Goma Congo on the banks of Lake Kivu. The majestic volcano MountĀ Nyiragongo,Ā towered in the distance. Occasionally we would walk it's lava flows, feel it's tremors,Ā untilĀ eventually even our home was buried beneath a river of its molten rock. Since then, I've had a fiery fascination with lava stone.
BornĀ from the earth's core, lavaĀ rock is the oldest and most abundant stone in the world, and the only rock known to be formed from nothing but fire.Ā RecognizedĀ for its grounding and calming properties,Ā igneous rock is created from raw energy and considered to represent rebirth and the shedding of unneeded emotional layers.
When combined with a few drops of essentialĀ oils, its porous surface absorbs and releases their natural properties throughout the day, reducing stress and promoting wellbeing.
